About Us

Your Help Today, Their Hope Tomorrow.

No More Tears Zimbabwe is a registered Private Voluntary Organization (PVO 30/2020) dedicated to restoring dignity, hope, and opportunity among the most vulnerable children, women, and families living in marginalized rural communities across Mashonaland Central Province.

We exist as a local, community-driven response to the silent crises of poverty, gender-based violence, harmful cultural practices, and systemic exclusion. Founded by a team of experienced development practitioners and grassroots activists, our work is built on the belief that real transformation happens when communities are empowered from within, not simply supported from above.

Our programming integrates evidence-based interventions with traditional values of care, family, and solidarity — ensuring that every child learns, every woman thrives, and every household moves towards lasting self-reliance.

Though we are still in our launch phase, we have fully developed systems, policies, and strategic frameworks, including a well-qualified team with past experience in large-scale USAID/PEPFAR-funded projects. With these foundations, we are prepared to implement at scale as soon as funding and stakeholder memoranda of understanding (MOUs) are finalized.

  • Our Mission
  • Our Vision
  • Our Core Values

To improve the quality of life and expand the future possibilities of vulnerable children, women, and families in rural Zimbabwe through transformative, rights-based, and community-led interventions in education, health, protection, and economic empowerment.

Our mission flows from our belief that no life is beyond redemption, no community is too poor to rise, and no child should cry from neglect or injustice.

A Zimbabwe where every child, woman, and family lives in dignity, free from violence, poverty, and preventable suffering — fully empowered to realize their potential.

Our vision represents not just an aspiration but a commitment to systemic change. We envision a Mashonaland Central Province where every rural household is part of the country’s progress story — not left behind by it.

Our organizational culture is guided by the following core values:

Compassion – We walk with the suffering, not above them.

Justice – We challenge systems and norms that perpetuate inequality.

Accountability – We are transparent to the communities we serve and to our partners.

Equity – We prioritize those furthest left behind: orphans, girls, and survivors.

Participation – We believe change must be owned by the community

Courage – We speak truth to power and innovate for impact, even when it’s difficult.

These values shape how we serve, how we partner, and how we grow.

Together, We Rise.

Overall Goal

From clean water and healthcare to nutritious meals, education, and faith-based support, we empower vulnerable Zimbabweans through sustainable solutions—transforming lives with compassion and action.

Strengthen Child Protection Systems at community level, promoting safe environments, psychosocial support, and alternative care models.

Promote Inclusive Education for vulnerable children, including those out of school, in child-headed households, or affected by disability or early marriage.

Advance Women and Girls’ Health and Rights, particularly in HIV prevention, maternal health, and sexual and reproductive health services.

Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence through survivor-centered models, community watch structures, and secure digital reporting systems.

Build Resilient Livelihoods by empowering caregivers and women-led households through savings groups, business training, and access to resources.

Strengthen Organizational Capacity and governance systems to ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainable program delivery.

Our History and Founding

Founded in 2020 and formally registered as PVO 30/2020, No More Tears Zimbabwe was birthed out of the lived realities and professional insights of its founders — seasoned humanitarian and public health workers who had served under PEPFAR and UNICEF programming in remote, under-resourced districts.

They saw the same patterns repeated: rural families being bypassed, children missing school due to poverty, girls being married off to appease culture, and survivors of GBV suffering in silence with no safe channels to report or heal. They knew the system needed a bold, prophetic intervention rooted in faith, data, and community.

Thus, No More Tears was formed — not as a reactionary NGO, but as a movement for justice, poised to restore the voices, dignity, and futures of those who had cried for too long.

No More Tears Zimbabwe is governed by a Board of Directors composed of individuals with expertise in public health, education, child protection, social work, faith-based organizing, and community development.

  • Independent Board Oversight

Though we have not yet engaged an external auditor, we are prepared to do so upon securing donor support. All program decisions will be informed by community voice, rigorous data, and ethical governance.
